Tamale Success!

On the 21st of December, from 10am-2pm, TCEDC hosted our first Tamale Make & Take Workshop taught by Henrietta Gomez of Taos Pueblo. Students of all ages and cooking skills attended on Saturday morning, eager to learn the art of tamale making for the holiday season. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this class possible! We look forward to the next class.

TCEDC Welcomes Loretta Barrett O’den

TCEDC welcomes Loretta Barrett O’den this Thursday, October 17, for a special Food Sector Opportunity Project talk from 3:45 pm-5:00 pm in the Community Center. She will also be providing a special presentation "The Many Uses of Corn," this Sunday, October 19 at 2 pm during TCEDC's Fall Food Festival.

From Farm to School

The Farm to School grant was one of four awarded in New Mexico. Other funded sites in the state include Capacity Builders Inc. in Farmington, La Semilla Food Center in Las Cruces and Taos Economic Development Corporation in Taos. Over $9 million in Farm to School grants were awarded nationally by the USDA.
